How we work

Four steps. The last one matters most.

  1. Conversation

Thirty minutes. What’s keeping you up, and is this a fit?

  2. Diagnose

Find where cash, decisions, and priorities are getting stuck.

  3. Install the rhythm

A weekly cash view, clear decision owners, and a short list of priorities.

  4. Hand it off

Your team runs the rhythm. You keep the clear view.

Good CFO work turns judgment into something your business can repeat.

Who this is for

A good fit when…

  • The business is owner-led and growth is outrunning the numbers.
  • Sales are growing and cash still feels tight.
  • Decisions keep landing on the owner’s desk.
  • A deal, capital raise, or ownership transition is on the horizon.
  • You have a bookkeeper or accountant, and you want someone to help you use the numbers to decide what’s next.

Based in Minnesota. Fractional CFO services across Minnesota, and remote nationwide.

Probably a better fit elsewhere

If you need bookkeeping, payroll, or tax preparation, your bookkeeper or CPA is the right call. I work alongside them every day, and the work is better for it.

Questions

About working together.

How is this different from my accountant or bookkeeper?

Your accountant and bookkeeper record what happened and keep you on the right side of the IRS. A CFO looks ahead: where cash is going, what you charge, when to borrow or invest, and the decisions that shape the business. The best results come when we all work together.

What does an engagement cost?

It depends on scope. Strategic CFO retainers typically start at one day per week, and projects are scoped and priced up front. We will talk numbers in the first conversation.

How fast will I see results?

It depends on the size and complexity of your business, and on where you are starting. We meet you where you are, agree on where you want to be, and set the pace from there. Most owners see their next 13 weeks of cash more clearly within the first month. Bigger shifts, like decisions moving off your desk, build over the quarter.

Do you work on-site?

Yes, where it matters. I’m based in Minnesota and work with owners on-site and remotely.

What happens when the engagement ends?

The goal is a business that runs the rhythm on its own. Some clients keep a lighter advisory relationship. Some don’t need one. Both are a good outcome.

Next step

Ready to see what’s next?

Thirty minutes to talk through where cash, decisions, or priorities feel stuck. If I can help, I’ll tell you how. If I can’t, I’ll point you to someone who can.
